Mobility Bond Discussion Marches Along

As the public outreach survey draws to a close, the City of Austin will shortly consider the feasibility and content of a 2016 Mobility Bond.

NCINC2 has joined over a dozen non-profits, environmental groups and advocacy organizations in supporting the Get Austin Moving Coalition.  Get Austin Moving believes that 2016 should be a “Year of Mobility” for Austin in urging the City Council to move forward with a bond package proposal to include funds for building and improving local roads, transit corridors, sidewalks citywide, bicycle infrastructure and urban trails.

NCINC2 has asked the City of Austin to conduct a comprehensive study of IH35 through the Upper Decks in order to craft a vision for the highway that supports the needs and interests of the Imagine Austin Comprehensive Plan, connectivity across and along the corridor, environmental health and the health and quality of life of north central neighborhoods along the corridor.

Visit Get Austin Moving and pledge your support in asking the City of Austin to move forward with a 2016 mobility bond that betters the lives of Austinites in all modes of travel.
